Event Documentary Screening “The Man Who Planted Trees”
Details The man who planted trees offers hope for our planet. To celebrate Qatar sustainability week, Torba store will be holding a screening of the documentary The Man who planted trees by Jean Giono. Giono purpose in telling the story “was to make people love the tree, or more precisely, to make them love planting trees.” This documentary has inspired reforestation efforts worldwide.

Event Msheireb Market by Torba
Details Msheireb Market by Torba is a high-street open-air market on Sikkat Al Wadi. Browse high end, local and overseas products. Enjoy fun carnival games and meeting your local brewers, creators and makers.

About Workshop: There is a growing amount of knowledge about food offering more than just fuel for the body. Holistic coach Amna will take participants through a journey of discovery about how food can also nurture the soul and even possess the power to heal.

Do you fancy gardening but don’t know where to start? In this workshop, Vicky will discuss simple tips for the beginner gardener.

Topics covered:

  • What equipment you need
  • The best and easiest plants
  • Soil mix and creating the right potting soil
  • How to properly repot a plant

About Vicky:

Vicky graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens, in Greece. She moved to Qatar in 2010, and has worked in various agricultural businesses. Her goal is to provide agricultural advice that will lead to a greener future for all!
